For the 5K , male and female winners will be awarded 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes. (Adult participants entering the 1 mile event will not qualify for any prize category.)

Kid’s Prizes

Each child who participates will receive the following fun gifts from some of Oak Harbor’s participating merchants:

• A free pass to Galaxy Laser Tag

Race Course Information

The Eagle Run features a 5K run and a 1-Mile “Eagle Dash”, starting and ending at Oak Harbor’s beautiful Windjammer park, located in the heart of downtown Oak Harbor.

The 5K course will loop around the Marina, and return toward City Beach.
Runners will return to the finish line at Windjammer park.

Start time for the 5k is 8:15 am.

Water stations will be effectively placed throughout the course.

The Eagle Dash is a kid-friendly 1-mile event, taking place entirely within Windjammer Park boundaries. Start time for the 1-mile Eagle Dash is 8:00 am.

All racers should meet at the starting line near Pioneer Way and Beeksma Road at the south end of the park.

There will be an awards ceremony near the starting line immediately after all the races have concluded.

Eagle Run 5K run and 1-mile Eagle Dash!

Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at 8:00 am

In cooperation with Oak Harbor’s Chamber of Commerce, join us Saturday morning, April 24th, 2010 as we help kick-off the city’s Holland Happening Festival with a road run. This family-oriented event has become a favorite part of the weekend’s celebrations. This fast course is an out and back loop along the scenic shores of Oak Harbor, the Marina and marsh trails; starting and finishing at Windjammer Park. The 1-mile Kid’s Eagle Dash takes place entirely within the park. Great prizes will be awarded to division 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the 5K races, plus every kid will receive a prize.

Bring the whole family and plan to make a day of it as you enjoy Oak Harbor’s Holland Happening Festival!  Strollers and leashed dogs welcome.
